Accra, Ghana · 2021 — Present

View Our Timeline →

Voltex was born in 2021 from a fundamental frustration: West African industry was investing in complex automation systems, yet there was no local expertise to install, maintain, or teach them. Equipment sat idle. Money was wasted. Opportunity was squandered.

Our founders — two electrical engineers who had worked across mining and marine industry — saw this as the greatest untapped opportunity on the continent. Armed with deep technical knowledge, a single PLC trainer kit, and an unwavering belief in home-grown talent, they launched Voltex from a rented workshop in Accra's industrial district.

"We didn't just want to fix machines.
We wanted to build the people who would fix them."

The early years were defined by hard-won credibility. Contract by contract, training cohort by training cohort, Voltex built a reputation that spread from mining to manufacturing operations. Word travelled fast: if you wanted automation done right in Ghana, you called Voltex.

Today, Voltex operates across three integrated pillars — Consultation, Technical Support, and Professional Training — with the aim of training the next engineers and transforming industry across the continent and beyond.

OUR CORE VALUES

These aren't wall-decor platitudes. They're the engineering specs for how we work, hire, build, and teach — every single day.

⚙️
01 / CRAFT

ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

We hold ourselves to the strictest technical standards — IEC, IEEE, NFPA — not because it's required, but because mediocre work fails people at scale. Every relay, every rung of ladder logic, every training slide is engineered with precision.

🌍
02 / PURPOSE

LOCAL IMPACT, GLOBAL STANDARD

We exist to develop African technical capacity to world-class levels. Every project we win and every engineer we graduate is a direct investment in the continent's industrial sovereignty. We measure success in careers launched, not contracts closed.

🔒
03 / INTEGRITY

SAFETY ABOVE ALL

Automation controls real machines with real consequences. We never cut corners on safety — not for deadlines, not for budgets. Our engineers are trained to speak up, slow down, and get it right the first time, every time.

🔁
04 / GROWTH

PERPETUAL LEARNING

The automation landscape evolves fast. We mandate 80+ hours of professional development per engineer per year. Our trainers must also practice — every Voltex instructor maintains active industry engagements so the classroom stays connected to the shop floor.

🤝
05 / PARTNERSHIP

CLIENTS AS PARTNERS

We don't deliver systems and disappear. Our engagement model is built around long-term relationships — post-deployment support, retraining as systems evolve, and honest conversations when a client's plan needs challenging.

♻️
06 / PLANET

SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN

Efficiency and sustainability aren't trade-offs — they're the same goal stated differently. Every system we design targets measurable energy reduction. Our own operations are carbon-accounted and we publish our annual ESG report publicly.

THE VOLTEX STORY,

NEVER STOP LEARNING

80+ CPD hours per engineer, annually. Non-negotiable.

🌱
LOCAL FIRST

We actively recruit and develop Ghanaian engineers — building the local talent pipeline we wished existed when we started.

WE BUILD PEOPLE,
NOT JUST SYSTEMS

Voltex is intentionally structured as a learning organisation. The boundary between our training division and our engineering teams is deliberately porous — our trainers are practitioners, and our engineers are educators.

We hire for intellectual curiosity and ethical backbone, then invest heavily in technical development. Every team member has a personal development plan reviewed quarterly, and the company funds external certifications, conference attendance, and site visits worldwide.

  • 🧪 Access to fully-equipped R&D lab for personal projects
  • 🤝 Mentorship program pairing junior engineers with industry veterans
  • Innovation time — 10% of work hours dedicated to self-directed projects

READY TO BUILD
SOMETHING THAT
MATTERS?

Whether you're an industry leader looking for automation expertise, or an engineer ready to level up — Voltex is where you belong.
